Casually Crafting Blog Hop – Autumn Term

Welcome to our monthly Casually Crafting Blog Hop, we are a group of Stampin’ Up demonstrators, who would like to share our projects with you. We love cards that are simple and easy to make with just a few products, these would ideally suit beginner and casual crafter. We will be sharing our ideas on the 3rd Friday of each month and you can hop around the group and gather loads of inspiration. This months theme is Autumn Term. For this project I have used the stamp set Life is Beautiful, which I have also stepped up with Gnome for the Holidays.

Autumn Tree

It’s possibly a little too early to recognise Autumn in August, with all the lovely weather we have been having recently, but schools will be back soon and the leaves will start to turn and fall off the trees much sooner than we would like. I have used the Life is Beautiful set and the wet wipe technique, with a variety of Autumn coloured reinkers, to create an Autumn leaf effect. On Cherry Cobbler and Granny Apple Green layers.

I have stepped up the look of this card by adding the Gnome for the Holidays stamp set, to the products used. I have masked off the Christmas elements of my selected Gnome to make it less seasonal, I have also added a mushroom roof to the tree stump, created by drawing around one of my Layering Ovals dies.

I hope you enjoyed my Autumn Term themed project and the rest of the Casually Crafting Design Team Blog Hop projects.

Lovely project H, we’ve both done the same technique which is interesting as they are both still very different, love it. Great hopping with you again this month.
