Casually Crafting Blog Hop – New Beginnings

Welcome to our monthly Casually Crafting Blog Hop, we are a group of Stampin’ Up demonstrators, who would like to share our projects with you. We love cards that are simple and easy to make with just a few products, these would ideally suit beginner and casual crafter. We will be sharing our ideas on the 3rd Friday of each month and you can hop around the group and gather loads of inspiration. This months theme is New Beginnings, marking the start of the new Annual Catalogue. For this project I have used the Jar of Flowers bundle.

Jar of Seeds

The theme New Beginnings, indicated to me any project(s) using new products from the new annual catalogue, available from 3rd June 2020. There are many lovely products to select from, please see the online catalogue in the sidebar to investigate further. The bundle I choose, enabled me to marry the theme of New Beginnings i.e. seeds with the new Jar of Flowers bundle from the new catalogue.

New Beginnings 1

I choose to create a tri-fold card. The main colour theme of this project is Purple Posy from the 2019-2021 In Colours, paired with the new 2020-2022 In Colour Just Jade. The perfectly coordinating punch and Mason Jar Shaker Domes facilitates a pouch to hold a packet of seeds, thereby creating a gift from a card.

New Beginnings 2

I created a tab, which via a hidden mechanism slides the backing to the jar side-wards, to enable the seeds to be removed from the card (via a hole in the reverse) without destroying the card to achieve this. The tab and the sentiment were created using the new Lovely You bundle (Lovely Labels punch).

This would be a perfect card for a spring time gift, but in June it’s not too late to sow a few seeds for late summer flowers.

I hope you enjoyed my New Beginnings themed project and the rest of the Casually Crafting Design Team Blog Hop projects.
