Casually Crafting Blog Hop – Easter

Welcome to our monthly Casually Crafting Blog Hop, we are a group of Stampin’ Up demonstrators, who would like to share our projects with you. We love cards that are simple and easy to make with just a few products, these would ideally suit beginner and casual crafter. We will be sharing our ideas on the 3rd Friday of each month and you can hop around the group and gather loads of inspiration. This months theme is Easter, for this project I have used the Peaceful Poppies DSP

Peaceful Poppies Mini Milk Carton Easter Egg box

Perhaps you have a wish to share a little happiness or need a little thank-you gift this Easter time. This little mini milkbox carton containing a few (wrapped) chocolate mini eggs is perfect as a small gift.

This box is constructed in a two parts, the base in Rich Razzleberry, and the top using the DSP. It has a 4cm square base and is 7cm high, and fits at least 7 mini Easter eggs. Four bases can be obtained from a sheet of A4 cardstock and at least 6 tops from a sheet of DSP (plus 2 more if the pattern is not uni-directional). Embellished with the ribbon from the Peaceful Poppies suite and a flower using the Small Bloom Punch which can be obtained free in Sale-A-Bration (see earlier posts). The sentiment is from Fable Friends using the Nested Dies (but this could be hand cut or a punched label).

In addition to this project I also created a more complex project using the transparent mini curvy keepsake box (dies from the Autumn / Winter catalog). This has been decorated with a second keepsake box cut in Gorgeous Grape and cut down using the new Ornate Borders Dies launching 1st April. The sentiment is on the Label Me Fancy Punch with christmas ribbon and coloured Crinkled Seam Binding ribbon.

This too makes a really cute Easter gift.

I hope you enjoyed my Easter themed projects and the rest of the Casually Crafting Design Team Blog Hop projects.
